"THEME EYE" absurd, the limping world face down in mythic swirl enduring actuals unseen alone and drifting on unmoored in troubled fog i know the burden falls on me internal escapade entranced 'til darkness fades collapsing consciousness between through dreams in brightened sleep infinite fathoms deep somewhere the fire sings to me again i see a face the years cannot erase and tightly grasp the memory /// without tomorrows voices in shadow never wait tonight a chorus aflame stays "BEDFACE" eyes are rolling sight unseen within your epic dream are you fighting, lost or flying through expanded time? as my waking cares resume all is still with you you... i'm awake for you i will wait for you frequent bargaining with sound the cup is cooling down impatient companion whines as the sun gets high bedface lasts all afternoon marks of peace on you you... i'm awake for you i will wait for you wide awake for you "THE ISLAND YEARS" in an odyssey through my painted memory i recoil at expectations and guffaw in wanderlust unresponsive to the rust in the stares across the table as they see i'm not afraid of the choices i will make starting with emancipation as i row and row and row... away from it all don't know you anymore as waves carry on don't know you anymore in a foreign age ever present all the same catapulted by desire is a scattering of plans raked to monuments of sand for the hidden congregation to proclaim i am alive never swallowed by the tide such a droll quixotic journey as i grow and grow and grow... away from it all don't know you anymore as waves carry on don't know you anymore /// inside out forming a sound outside in not if, when as it wakes i cannot wait as it flies makes me feel so high... "GOIN' SOUTH (MENCHACAROK)" can you see beyond the rain as light collapses once again? (tired tired, so tired) do you finally understand as victims of the splinter land? (retreating and bleeding) and when the dire journey wakes who can change the course of fate? (motivator, agitator) goin' south how's it feel as failure flows into the vacuum of your soul? (undesired occupier!) does the dawning creep inside as your reckoning arrives? (liar liar! liar liar!) and through your silent flaccid rage can you hear the chorus sing? (you're fired! you're fired!) goin' south "COVISSA NOVA" (wordless) "I AM ON DRUGS" underneath the surface lies (humdrum, flat and dry) sinking into hollow time (fantasy defined) i uplift my mind to see (through eternity) and laugh at your reality (he he he he) drawn into a glowing door (15 after 4) navigating through the floor (for a little more) from the street i heard your sounds (echoes all around) so I have come to party down (ha ha ha ha) i am on drugs "BLACKITTY/2004" .... "TROPHY WIFE KARMA" darkening summer another fleeting escape fortunate lover shifting the mood of a fading day into the hollow nursing elaborate lines honed bravado to leave the trifles behind safe inside the soft confines another jive in abiding time /// residue farmer hovering over the scene trophy wife karma shifting impermanent dream looming in the vacancy a closing circle waits unseen "MAKING LOVE TO THE UNIVERSE (PART 1)" (wordless) "ULTRACHORUS" dawning on the second morning bleary from the nights of worry i see you and the past is over dissolving in a gasp of wonder eclipsing the moon is a beautiful son born from the fire as the light of my life always stay forever in my arms turn the tide little child "I CAN REMEMBER THE FUTURE..." within your embrace, so out of the blue i understand deja vu it's like I've known you for all of my life never before, but in time rising and falling on infinite fronts everything's happening at once so we conduct as the song writes itself carried along, just as well i can remember the future...
